How does it work?

Creating tiny punctures in the skin to stimulate skin repair and new cell regeneration. When the body sustains an injury or wound, it heals itself by creating new collagen and elastin. This leads to healthier, younger more vibrant looking skin.

How long is each session?

45-60 minutes.

When will I see results?

Results are usually noticed 4-6 weeks post treatment.

Is this treatment safe?

Yes, when performed by a fully certified medical esthetician or doctor.

Does it hurt?

Clients will be numbed for treatment. Discomfort is typically mild to moderate. Each individual is different.

What kind of post-treatment care is required?

Slight bleeding, redness, inflammation or tightness of skin followed by mild peeling are common side effects that should not be worried over.

Skin should be protected from the sun until healing is complete. Sunscreen should used daily following healing.

No hot showers or baths.

No Steam room or hot tubs.

No exercising for 48 hours.

Change your pillowcase nightly until healed.

Moisturizing when healing is complete.

Do not take any blood thinner before or after your treatment such as ibuprofen.

Do not touch your face.

Do not pick at or pull any skin.

No irritating fragrances are to be used. 

Contraindications, special considerations and precautions
  • Pregnancy
  • Active eczema
  • Scleroderma, collagen or vascular diseases and cardiac abnormalities
  • Psoriasis or other chronic conditions
  • Have open wounds
  • Have history of actinic or solar keratosis
  • Have had radiation therapy recently or have cancer
  • Have a history of skin keloid scarring
  • Have auto immune disorder
  • History of diabetes
  • Presence of raised moles in area to be treated
  • Active bacterial or fungal infections
  • Blood clotting conditions
